Thoughts and Thinking proceess-

Thoughts and Thinking proceess-
Very few people in this world are aware that thinking is not deliberate or conscious process but it is done out of habit. We think in a way we are habituated to think. If our thoughts are positive then it is good because whatever we think enters our subconscious mind but if we think negatively then negative thoughts are deposited in our mind. Our subconscious mind does not analyze the thoughts that enter and get deposited. It is not concerned about the effect of materialization of these thoughts. The subconscious mind is like small child, who accepts and takes for granted whatever it sees or hears, without judgment, analysis and without considering the consequences. We are constantly flooded with thoughts, ideas and information coming through the five senses, other people, the newspapers and TV. These thoughts, ideas and information penetrate the subconscious mind whether we are aware of this process or not. This outside flow influences our behaviour and reactions. It influences the way we think, our preferences, likes and dislikes. This means that we let outside powers shape our lives. When positive thoughts get materialized they bring about happiness, health, wealth and peace while when the negative thoughts are materialized in our life they bring about sorrow, pain, agony, ill health and all sorts of troublesome conditions in our life. Most people think and believe that their thoughts originate from them, but have they ever stopped and considered whether their thoughts, desires, likes and dislikes are really theirs? Maybe they have come from the outside, and they have unconsciously accepted them as their own? Shri Satguru says that topic of thoughts originate from various things which are present in this world. Many a times thoughts of other people we accept unknowingly and later we start wondering about the origin of thought? People whom we like or we adore carry influence over our thoughts. The people who are close to us like parents, brothers, sisters and close friends matter to us most and their opinion carries lot of importance in our life. So it influences the way we think and behave, like and dislike. Each person is more susceptible to certain kind of thoughts than others. Certain thoughts and ideas we ignore, and others spur us to immediate action. Thoughts concerning subjects we love have more power on us than other thoughts, but even thoughts and ideas that we don't care about, if we are frequently exposed to them, eventually sink into the subconscious mind and influence us. This quality of mind is used in the technique of advertisements. Somebody has said that, ?If we keep saying a false thing thousand times continuously without losing zeal then ultimately people will take it as truth.? If we want to focus our mind on particular goal then we have to analyse pattern of our subconscious mind. It has many thoughts which are deposited from childhood. They are from our family, relatives, neighbours, friends, and teachers etc. We have to ask ourselves are these thoughts supplementary or useful for our work and progress towards our goal? Shri Satguru says that many of these thoughts which are lodged in our subconscious mind (sanskars) are unnecessary baggage because they are wrong and are contrary to the law of nature and are useless-no beneficial to the society or to ourselves and hence should be dropped-removed or deleted. Therefore we should be extremely careful before accepting any idea or information. We must not accept each and every thought, idea or information just because it is coming from the person we love, like or adore. So learn not to accept every thought that you encounter. Find first whether it is for your own good and then only follow it. It may not be so easy at the start, because the mind will revolt against this control. Education and sanskars should breed and cultivate saptsheel of human culture equality, nobility, patience, understanding, tolerance, contentment, humility and flexibility. If you want to be the master of your mind and life, then choose the thoughts properly as they are the creators of your destiny. Satguru has given us golden mine of beautiful thoughts which is Vishva Prarthana-Universal Prayer and by chanting this continuously we can fill our mind with all positive thoughts and invite destiny filled with happiness, peace, bliss, health, wealth and harmony and attain material as well as spiritual progress.
